Short weeks always go forever!

Why is it so? Monday is a public holiday. We go to work on Tuesday and spend all day thinking it's Monday and then on Wednesday thinking that it's Tuesday. We get to Thursday and we've got it together by then. We know it's late night shopping in the suburbs and that tomorrow is Friday.
I dunno about the rest of you, but I find myself getting to the end of a 'short week' thinking to myself "Gee's it's been a long week!" Maybe I overdo it on my long weekends, making me more tired and irate during the weeks, but given the fact that I am Nanna and usually spend my weekends doing things like cross stitch, ironing, baking or housework, that is unlikely.
Interestingly enough, I find the weeks where I work Sundays (not anymore!!!) I find Friday arrives sooner than I expect it. Taking this fact into account, I have decided I know the answer. It is reverse psychology. At the beginning of a short week, I think "Short week! Friday's gonna be here before I know it!!!" I expect it to be an easy week, but given that there is often a backlog of work from not being here on the Monday, the week drags.
I expect that my 6 day weeks will drag, but this simple expectation of a dragging week seems to fast track the days, bringing Friday closer than I first thought! The moral of the story....expect every week to drag and maybe they'll go faster.

I think this post clearly illustrates my need to have a new start, tackle a new challenge and get a freaking life. Sorry to waste your time reading this dribble!!!!
