A Free Hour!

Today marks the end of daylight savings. I woke up with sun streaming in my window and as I sat up and looked out, the ground was glistening with last nights rain. Perfect! I looked at my clock at the time was 7:58.....but it was actually 6:58. I lay in bed for a while, played tetris on my phone and then decided I wasn't going to waste my extra hour lying in bed. So I got up and did an hour of yoga.

I've always known that life is precious, but this week, an event in my community has made me realise that life can also be precarious and change in a split second. The very sudden passing of a very special person has taught me that every moment is a gift. Every moment with friends and loved ones should be cherished, petty arguments need to exit via the back door, bad feelings need to be weighed up, 'does this really matter in the scheme of things?'. I'm not saying that grief, bad moods and frustrations of life can't happen, but I just think it is super important to put these things into perspective.
